Open Studio for Boone County Artists Thursday, September 7 Main Library, 6 p.m. Fuel your creativity by checking out different art techniques and mediums demonstrated by members of Boone County Visual Art Association. Intro to Acting Class Thursdays, Sept. 7 – Oct. 12 Main Library, 6:30 p.m. This six-week course covers basic acting skills and is taught in a fun, threat-free environment with theatre games and short in-class performanc- es. Open to all adults. $20 materials fee. Please register. Free Photo Digitizing Tuesday, September 12 Main Library, 12-4 p.m. Do you have old photos and docu- ments in boxes? Bring them to the library where a trained volunteer or staff member will digitize them so they are preserved for future generations. Once items are scanned they can be saved to your flash drive, a CD or sent to an email. Registration is required. You will be contacted with a 1 hour time slot after registering. The G-Man and the Diamond King Tuesday, September 12 Scheben Branch, 7 p.m. Join local author and former FBI Special Agent William E. Plunkett as he talks about his book, The G-Man and the Diamond King. The story is about a 1935 confrontation between a Cincinnati FBI agent and a career criminal in the Tristate region.
